Detinox shampoo or olive oil rubbed in left overnight and the waxy scurf combed out and then hairwashed

Stelaker cream made by mustela - got rid of DSs cradle cap within a week after trying everything else for 6 months with no joy.

I second the oil overnight. Could be baby oil or vegetable oil.

In the morning rub it GENTLY with your fingers to loosen it.

Once the scurf is loosened by the oil a nit comb works really well to comb it out gently but be careful not to scratch the baby's scalp with it.

Organic Monkey make a cradle cap oil that smells lovely :)

Head and shoulders and a nitty gritty comb!

www.kentbrushes.com/shopexd.asp?id=82 brush one way in the direction of the growth then back the other way twice a day. I tried weleda oil which is gentle i would not put head and shoulders on a soft sensitive scalp.

Olive oil, gently applied with cotton wool is the best - and least costly remedy imo.

Dentinox works but make sure it doesn't get in their eyes

I'll second the oil and then gently comb out later.

DS still gets the odd patch (he's 12!!) so I pile on the conditioner to loosen it and then use a nit comb to get it out - buit obviously you need to be more gentle with a baby!

Dentinox got rid of my baby's within a few days and it smells lovely!
