Does anyone know anything about decreased immunoglobulin iga.

Long story short....my 13 month old dd has been ill for almost 3 months with constant cough, cold etc. Keeps picking up urine infections and ending up in hospital. Been told that she has chest infection, asthma etc which turns out not to be. She keeps losing weight and at 13 months weighs only 15lb.
Just had bloods done because doc thinks she malnourished...came back that iga levels are low..apparantely iga found in breastmilk. We been told it nothing to worry about but i have breastfed on demand since birth and still am so how could levels be low Confused Also sisters on childrens ward have mentioned having sweat test for cystic fibrosis...not got consultant appointment now for almost 10 weeks so bit worried Sad
