Hi, I am just about to start giving my 8 year old son his first Desmomelt. I would love any tips and advice about this and when should he have his last drink before I give him his Desmomelt tablet.

Thanks

I've just had a chat with ds's nephrologist about ds's night wetting and he had said no drinks 2 hrs before bed and make sure he wee's before going to bed.

Good luck with the desmomelts, they didn't work for us :( but an alarm has :)

Thanks for that. We have tried the alarm. At the start it worked but my son had it for 6 months and in the end he got so used to the alarm that his sister was waking up to the alarm and then she would wake up her brother!

We have desomelt mixed with lyrinex XL, it works a dream with us (DS9 inherited bladder disorder). He has his last drink no less than an hour before bed, we experimented with this and this was the best time - although be very careful they drink loads during the day, our DS gets very dehydrated and gets headaches because of it.
He even managed his first residential camp and sleepover because of these tablets - I cannot recommend them highly enough!
