Best remedies for constipation in a 7yo????

She already eats plenty fruit and veg - what are your best remedies for constipation?? She is saying it hurts and she doesn't want to poo, but she has been on and off the loo all night pooing little soft poos - arghhh... thanks!

Apple juice is apparently the best juice to get them going, so maybe try & get her to drink lots of that - I'm tired so memory rubbish right now but it contains more of the laxative form of fruit sugar - sucralose I thinkConfused

DD has the opposite problem & it was the hospital dietician that told me that, after I'd been stopping her having orange & giving her apple instead Blush

Also stop any milk/diary until it clears, as that will constipate her more
