DS2 has just been sent home from school with chicken pox! Oh the shame that I didn't notice Blush

We are due to go to my parents' house for dinner. Should I cancel? Dad has a heart condition and they are both 80.

DS2 feels fine btw Hmm Just a few spots that I'd swear weren't there this morning.

S'ok

"This virus also doesn?t work the other way around, where chicken pox can give someone shingles, as shingles is developed from the virus being hidden in your body."

Found my answer.

As you were.

I would investigate some more.
When I was in the US, I was going to have my son vaccinated against chicken pox but was told not to do so while I was visiting my parents because it's a live vaccine and can be contagious, posing risks for elderly people. Perhaps I was misinformed -- but I suggest you get more advice prior to possibly putting your parents' health at risk.

Thanks posada but too late! I told them what had happened and they took the decision to come. They came to us rather than the other way round. Fingers crossed.
