Infant Gaviscon and solid food

Hello all! My DD has had reflux since she was about 6 weeks. Now at 7 months she's still on the Gaviscon and the doctor has suggested that I double her dose to counteract the pain she seems to get after meals. She's particularly bad after eating acidic fruits such as apples. I'm just wondering if anyone knows if I should/could be giving her Gaviscon alongside ALL her meals, not just milk? Thanks for your wisdom!
