My 13 mo DD has had fungal nappy rash, got caneston from the chemist and it is soo much better in just a couple of days. Think she got this as teething and lots of dirty nappies.
I then saw some white spots on her tounge - went to chemist and got some daktarin gel to apply - fine I though, thrush and easily treated.

But yesterday and today she has been really unhappy, seems uncomfortable / in pain. Ready for bed earlier than usual. But eating fine. She a fair few blotchy spots on one cheek and around her mouth. No where else. And she is dribbling LOADS

Could the white spots in her mouth be something else?

She is teething (4 molars all at once) so until yesterday I put all this down to teething and being a but run down and ythrush... now I am worried it might be something more. Phoned Docs and no appts. until Thursday!!

It is so hard isn't it - always worrying and horrible seeing little ones unhappy and poorly. any advice / experience? thank you thank you.

Miserable baby sounds like teething. Have you given her any painkiller? Iboprufen and paracetamol can be alternated 3 hourly. Of course, usual muppet disclaimer, if worried get professional advice. x

thanks Visitor, yes it could well just be the teeth - and calpol / neurofen does help. I hope it is just teething, at least I know I can help her with that and its nothing more 'sinister'!

Sounds like the poor little thing has had thrush and is also teething... No wonder she's unhappy Sad

This is the age my eldest son stopped sleeping due to his awful teething of molars. Mind you, back then there wasn't iboprufen for kids nor Anbesol. 18 years ago! Poor baby though. xxx
