My 3 year old has put a bit of sponge up his nose...little sod! What can I do to get it out, have tried the bloke other nostril and blow in mouth thing but it didnt work...he's quite upset that it's up there and won't come out! Not sure how big/small the sponge is.

Can you see it? Tweezers very gently?

I would go to A&E, if you can't get it out yourself.

Take him to A+E - they will have seen it many times before and will hopefully be able to grab it.

My sisters kids were regular attenders for things up noses!

Has to be A&E - you risk pushing it further in if you try it yourself.... done a similar run myself.......

I put a small dolls shoe up my nose when I was 4 (no idea how or why)- I just remember playing with it one minute then the next it was gone! After trying blowing, trying to sneeze etc my
Mum took me to an emergency doctor who removed it with a long pair of tweezers.

I'd phone nhs24 or your local minor injury unit. I wouldn't try to extract it myself.
