Sorry, it's another "Bother with the GP?" thread

DS is 3.5, on waiting list for tonsillectomy due to sleep problems.

Has had a cold again - seemed to start 3 weeks ago, has morphed into a severe cough (as usual). The cough is worse than usual, and is especially bad at night. He's fine in himself (other than behaving like a monster because he's so tired). It's just going on a long, long time.

There's not much the GP can do, is there?

Yes go back to GP - no reason why your lo can't have some treatment while waiting for op.

Even children waiting to have their tonsils out have 'coincidental' things wrong with them, like asthma or chest infections (not that it's neccessarily eithe of those!), so please don't assume that it's 'just' tonsils again.
