Just wondered if anyone else had lo have had this so young.. Spots are out and gp confirmed cp said not dangerous, but am worried sick to the point I'm thinking of staying up tonight. Ds seems fine drinking and smiling away is it likely to get worse??

My dd2 had it at 5 weeks old and coped with it fine. Didn't really bother her as much as her sister , who gave it to her.

My DD had it when she was 6 weeks old. DS got it first and everyone said she wouldn't get it due to being so young and being exclusively breast fed, but she got it.

She was pretty spotty but didn't seem to get itchy and it made her sleep more, which was good. I was worried about possible complications but she was fine.

My DS2 had chicken pox at 8 weeks old, he was born at 33 weeks and just out of SCBU! He was fine, though he did get a spot on his tongue and I spent a few sleepless nights getting him to take water off a spoon as it hurt him to suck! Hope your DS gets well soon.

oh bless him.
none of mine had it that young no, but you're probably in for a couple of nights of restlessness!
we found that the boots own brand calamine and glycerin cream was much better than calamine lotion.
also a bath with oats in it helps!

My dd2 was 2 weeks when she had it - caught it from ds2 and dd1. She was fine and didn't have it that badly. Had the most enormous spot right in the middle of her forehead!
