Ds2 is almost 17 months and has been sick all day, even bringing up water. Which he's desperate to drink .
I'm doing his bedtime routine and he's feeding as I type , I am now expecting a lot of sick! :( I am hoping that as my breastmilk is made just for him , hopefully he'll keep it down. What do you think?
When dd was a similar age and in hospital with Rotavirus she kept my breastmilk down ....

Thanks for your thoughts :)

Apologies for errors , I'm on my iPhone .

Is he dehydrated: wet nappies? sunken eyes? Dry mouth? If not then he needs to be checked over. BF should be OK if he's able to keep it down.

He had some wee in his nappy and did one on the floor so defiantly weeing . Eyes look normal , lips dont seem dry .
Has fed on both sides ..... Let's hope he keeps it down

My 19 mo DD is just the same. She has managed a couple of breastfeeds though and kept them both down. Hopefully same for your DS. If they can sleep a while before being sick again, at least they'll have had time to digest some of it. I have some diarolyte on hand if we have a sicky night. High temp just before bed too - same with yours?

If he's weeing and responding to you then I'd continue with the bf and see if this helps. As long as he's drinking (anything) and is managing to keep some down then this is the important thing. Don't worry about food just yet. Do call NHS direct if you're worried, they are far better trained then me.

Hi , thanks for your messages :)
He kept all the breastmilk down last night (phew!) and fed at 2 and 4. He had a high temp so we gave him more calpol at 4.

Horrible nappies this morning :( But he's eaten some cereal. And seemed happier, less floppy.

Belindarose, yes v high temp before bedtime, poor sausage.
