Does this sound like EIA?

Hi - Last year dd (9) was diagnosed with mild asthma but has never seen a doctor; only asthma nurse.

she has a blue inhaler to relieve her symptoms if she has them.

However, over this time, it's gotten worse during exercise and noticibly when she's swimming. She swims twice a week and finds it knackering. This week, she had to make an excuse to go to the loo so she could rest.

Her cheeks go bright blotchy red from under her eyes down in long strips and she said tonight that it felt like someone was screwing up her heart. She said that when she was swimming, it felt like erh arms and legs were heavy and that just her head was there.

I've just read about exercise induced asthma and didn't realise that exercsie could bring on symptoms; only that exercise was good for asthma.

Does this sound like EIA? - will take her to GP next week.

Thanks Pixie.
I feel better knowing when her symptoms are worse and that she must use her inhaler and during exercise.
