milk - how long after tummy bug?

Does anyone know how long you should wait after a tummy bug before giving a child milk? DD has been poorly since the night before last. She last threw up this morning at about 8am - she has perked up a lot since then, had some snacks to eat, is playing and now asking repeatedly for milk - should I risk it Confused?

Milk and yogurt are usually quite good too calm down an upset tummy so I would let her have it. Also things like rice cakes, cooked rice, cooked plain potatoes, plain bread, anything quite plain plus milk and yogurt are good and lots of drinking (water especially).

I found avoiding milk, yog etc after a bug was the best option (I did try giving him milk, as he looked better, but he chucked it up! DS is 16mo)

I waited until he had been vomit-free for 24 hrs, and then gave him his bedtime feed of cow's milk, watered down half-and-half. He kept it down, so we went back onto proper milk.

Some people say yoghurt is easier to digest than milk, so you could try that first? My ds was just desperate for his milk.

He still had diarrhoea for a while, after the vomit dried up. The milk didn't seem to affect this either way
