Just noticed mole on DD (22months)

It seems to have just suddenly appeared - pretty sure it wasnt there last week - is that normal?

It doesn't seem to have any worrying signs - it's symmetrical, pretty uniform colour (although quite dark brown), not that big. She's got one similar on her side, which appeared about a year or so ago, but nothing else.

Just something to mention if I'm in the GP's anyway, or worth a special visit?

moles do appear - this confused me a dd went to about 2 years old with no moles. dh and I have lots of moles so I was surprised (I guess I figured they were born with them!). We occasionally spot a new one - she has about 4 now she's 3. Sounds perfectly normal so long as it doesn't change to unusual shape or bleed.

Thanks ladies - sorry I've been offline since Friday.

And rather embarrassingly, the mole turned out to a very stubborn piece of dirt. So nothing to worry about at all Blush. Next time I will be more vigarous with the baby wipes before I start panicking/googling/posting!

Brilliant. My DD has a number of freckles and moles which she counts regularly. Either she is growing new ones or is unable to count properly.
