Ear infections / adenoids

Hi my daughter is suffering from ear infections about every 3 weeks (since last year) and we are awaiting an appointment to discuss with a specialist. She is 23 months. Has anyone heard of children this young having their adenoids out? The doctor has suggested that this may need to be done. She has had six sets of anti biotics since Dec.

dd was nearly 3 when she had her grommets in and adenoids out,there was a little girl on the same ward who had just turned two having the same op
