Hi Ds(4) has been under the weather this week and has been of school with headaches and strange rashes. He saw the GP yesterday for a check up about asthma. He said everything OK as poss a virus. His temperature came up this morning. He has had calpol as just flopped on sofa saying his head hurts. His temperature is 40 even though he has had calpol. He cannot have nurofen because of his asthma. He has a fan on covered in a sheet and just a vest.
Any ideas on how to bring it back down and would you take him back to the gp.

Yes sponge him down with tepid water then apply a cold flannel to his forehead while he is resting . This works really well on my 5yr old DD .
Hope he is feeling better soon x
