Quick question about chicken pox

DD was ill on thursday evening, friday morning she woke up with spots. Obviously chicken pox. She has not been 'ill' since.

Can i take her to playgroup this morning? It has been 5 whole days since the spots came out and they have scabbed over now.

She has got serious cabin fever!

What is the playgroup's policy ? She sounds ok but some will ask you to allow at least 5 days from onset of spots.

It has been 5 days since spots. The preschool said 5 days or until the spots have scabbed.

She doesn't have any visible ones if that makes a difference, all under her clothes. The worst bit is we were there last wednesday when she would have been contagious.

if they have scabbed over then she should be ok to go out and about again

I agree, she isn't contagious once the spots are scabbed, and if it was only a mild case she should be fine now

Thank you Smile

Decided against it today (mostly due to being disorganised!) but will see about sending her to preschool tomorrow and friday.
