Vomiting 2.7 yo DS - how long?

DS 2.7yrs had a nasty cough and antibiotics from doc since last Weds. Cough seemed better but he's always been prone to being sick and was sick a few times on tues night due to coughing hence visit to docs.

Then Mon night started vomiting again, thought was just due to cough but continued throughout night and all day yesterday. Still can't keep water down this morning and very pale. Is asleep now but am wondering how long to leave him before a docs visit again as been over 24 hours now.

thanks

I would never leave a child who cannot hold water down for at least a few mins. I would take him to A&E where they can assess whether he needs rehydrating.

He was being sick about 20 mins after a drink so can keep it down for a while. Is passing urine regularly and skin has elasticity so I don't think he is dehydrated. I had hyperemesis with both my pgs so have good knowledge of dehydration and consequences. But thanks for pointing that out.

He hasn't been sick since 6am now and drunk and eaten a small amount so i think he's on the mend Smile.
