7 week old DD's cough

Hi all, DD2 7 weeks old. Older sister has had awful cold and upper chest infection. Baby seems to have got it too. Cough is the worst after a long nap or sleep, yesterday she vomited after feed in morning because she was so phlegmy - wasn't that concerned.
But today every time she gets into a coughing fit she cannot catch her breath and I think her lips almost started going blue just now.
What should I do for her? Ive been gently tapping her back to help her along when she coughs. Should I get her to the GP tomorrow? Confused

If her lips are going blue or she is struggling to get breath I would go to A and E tbh, she is so small its best to get her checked over. Otherwise I would certainly go to the GP in the morning.

Raising the head of the cot and steam can help to

if lips going blue, i'd take her to be seen now. Asap.
My 7 week ds has similar but not the catching breath and blue lips. Had planned to take him to health clinic tomorrow to see what they said. \Will be watching him overnight too (I have same thing, with temp, cold, cough etc)
Best wishes, is horrible isn't it?

thanks for replies. tbh, I'm not sure if it was my imagination. The lounge was very dimly lit at time and I dont know whether I was over reacting. DH didn't think they were blue.
I'm going to watch her carefully all night and see about an appointment first thing tomorrow. but if any more episodes like that one it's straight to a&e.

she's just coughed up a big mucosy sick while dh was winding her upright and dealt with it much better. It might have been because of the position she was in before that her breathing was laboured, dh had her slouched in the bend of his arm and did not bring her up to upright straight away when she started coughing.

will keep an eye out. it is horrible adair. I worry over this one so much more than DD1....why is that?!? Sad
