Glued head wound

My wee 3 yr old split his head open at the wkend& got it glued back together at a&e. We took the dressing off tonight, as advised but the glue came with it& he's now just got a big open non-bleeding cut on his head that would leave, I imagine, a whopper of a scar.... Called nhs24 who simply advised practice nurse tomorrow who can put more steristrips on as it's too late to be glued/stitched again..... Anyone else had similar and did it scar badly? I know it's simply cosmetic& in the grand scheme of things it's a very minor thing, but it's just rotten to think he's got the possibility of a scar on his face already... Cheers

Oh no... Your poor wee man. Trying to tell myself that when he grows up ladies will just think it's a sexy man scar but it ain't working-he's just my wee soft skinned toddler just now!
