He's not even my PFB,but bear with me.

Since the weekend is having loose stools with quite a lot of beige mucus, and the poos seem to be super acidic - making his bum red very quickly and he is screaming/howling when I try to clean him and for a good 10 mins afterwards.

Had about 6 x today. Not like 'diarrhoea' as such, ie not profuse/watery, just sloppy/mushy.

No vomiting, eating and drinking lots, usual self/no temp. And is getting a lower fang type tooth I think.

He did see a paed last year when he had loose poos for weeks on end and thought maybe toddler diarrhoea - dairy/wheat problems pretty much ruled out and this is the first spell of bad poo for ages (except for a tummy bug in winter which was standard vomiting and diarrhoea stuff)

So teething or a bug? Am giving painkillers when needed, frequent changes/cream on etc.

Oh I am so glad you said that. Am phobic about tummy bugs but didn't want to influence the answersGrin

Am trying not to wind myself up too much that it is something vile and contagious you see (not doing very well with that)

And he does usually puke a lot with a bug. Which he hasn't.
