Coughs

3 year old DD has had a cough for a few months. Our GP blames it on chest infections, and keeps prescribing antibiotics, but I'm not happy for her to continue taking them. He keeps saying that children of her age always pick up infections from other kids, but surely not all children are on antibiotics all the time? Is he right and am I just being paranoid?

There's a virus going round that is apparently just dry coughing/feeling shit that lasts over 7 weeks, if that sounds familiar?
Might be why anti-b's aren't working
