DD (12) strange allergy

Hoping some of you wise MNetters can help.

Every year this catches us out. (Started again yesterday). From now until about October, DD will have weird exema-like patches on her joints.

I mean on every joint, feet, hands, wrists, every single joint, even on her face where her jaw is up beside her ear.

Taken her to the doc loads of times about it but they just say "allergy" of some indeterminate sort and advise anti-histamines.

What could it be?

She had food intolerances as a baby, and is still lactose intolerant, she also has hayfever and mild asthma. She also gets exema type reactions if I don't use non-bio powder.

It's not a massive issue (I had to go do the supermarket today for anti-hists because it caught us out last night), but she's uncomfortable and for my own satisfaction I'd like to know what could be causing it.

Could it possibly be psoriasis rather than eczema? Is the rash on the inside or outside of her joints? are the patches sort of scaly or silvery?

Trefusis - it's unpleasant and she's uncomfortabel. The patches are very red and raw but they'll calm down in a day or two and she'll be on anti-histamines for the rest of the summer which is horrible for her. If we forget to take them, it can flare out of nowhere.

To answer your questions Owlingate - Outside and inside of her joints. Patches are scaly and raw, not silvery.

Vet friend suggested mould? She's around barns/horses/cows?

Pressed post too soon.

The weird thing is, it's just her joints, she doesn't get the patches anywhere else but it is literally every joint - up her spine, her fingeres, her elbows, knees, ankels, you name it!

Well, the animals are in all winter, and haven't been put out yet, so I don't think its that?

They are fed the same stuff, and she has contact with them all year.

It is a total mystery!!

As I said, not a massive deal but I'd like to get to the bottom of it!
