My DD is 13 months and has been ill since last Friday. Started off with disturbed sleep on Friday,Saturday and Sunday and a viral rash on Saturday. Then went to the GP on Monday who said it was viral tonsillitis. She seemed much better on Monday night and then started vomiting and having really bad watery diarrhea on Tuesday. She hasn't kept any milk/food down since. On Wednesday we took her to the emergency GP in the night as she was looking altered and they said to syringe fluids into her slowly. Since then she has been a bit better but still vomits if I give her a breastfeed and still has diarrhea. Lots of crying too.
We are supposed to be going on holiday on Monday. I am thinking of cancelling - we will lose the entire cost £1500+. My mum has paid and wants to leave the decision till Sunday night. I am so stressed with DD being so ill I can't imagine her being well enough in two days to travel.
Anyone had any experience of this virus-could she be better in two days?

Terrible position to be in but personally I wouldn't go but might depend on where you are going if there was any improvement in 2 days. Lots of tonsillitis around at the moment, can last a while if viral as anti biotics won't work.
