Hi i was wondering should i be worried my 4 mth old has never had tears when crying?

I don't think so - I seem to remember that my two didn't produce tears when crying until they were about six months old.

My DD2 did get tears however I was told by HV that this was very rare before 6m or so. It wasn't a problem or anything, it was just mentioned like an ahh bless look kind of thing when DD2 happened to be kicking off on weigh in day!

Really? Is it rare to have tears befire 6m? I never knew that. My son has had them from being very little - a week or so old...., can't remeber if his older sis did.

It broke my heart the first time I saw tears (I'm soft) and it still does, I only see tears if he's upset or scare, not if he's shouting or in a temper, and it gets me every time.
