hi
Last night my ds(5) woke me up by screaming,i ran out to find him comin out of bathroom,he looked at me and cowarded away as if i was a monster, almost like a night terror (he had these few years ago but stopped about 6 months ago)i asked wether he wanted to go to toilet but screamin carried on,im sure he was still asleep, so i took him back to bed and sat with him till he calmed down.one night i found him in corner of bedroom facing wall, another time hes come into my room and just stood by bed.
Its so scary to witness and im petrified hes goin to fall down the stairs or hurt himself some other way.
Does anyone have any experience?

I don't have any experience, so can't really help here, but to tell you that you aren't alone. My neice is almost 5 and has been sleepwalking a lot in a similar way - sometimes they go in to her bedroom and find her standing on the bed or sitting on the floor. We had her sleep over at ours the other week and she fell asleep on the settee. About an hour into sleeping, she sat up and looked around for a few minutes but her eyes were glazed and you could tell she wasn't awake.

Maybe it's something they grow out of with age? I wouldn't worry too much as long as you've baby proofed etc, which I'm sure you have Smile. Hopefully a stair gate would stop him from falling down the stairs.

I'd probably take him to the doctors and see if they can do anything to help. Maybe they'll suggest taking him to a sleep clinic if they feel it's something to be concerned about.
