REALLY sweet smelling poo?

Any idea what this could be?

My little boy has been poorly on and off since
Christmas and most recently has had an ear infection. For the last couple of weeks his poo has been really sweet smelling almost sickly. I had put it down to him not eating much and more breastfeeds than usual but hes pretty much back to normal now and it's still like it.

So, has anyone else had this? He's 13 months and teething badly too, could this be it?

Is it really light brown / yellow in colour? My little boy has had a couple of episodes like this lasting about a week at a time. He was also taking more breastfeeds than usual & less food.

I thought that breasfed poo was supposed to be sweet smelling...not sure how long that lasts for though

PB-yes, it's very light in colour and not dioreaha(sp?) but not exactly formed either. Its just such a strange smell!

Frottage- this isn't like the usual BF poo, those days are long gone once we started solids.

I'm wondering if it's either the last bit of a tummy bug or to with teething- he has first molars coming through (I think) and is really suffering... So is my sleep!

Thanks for the responses.

Sounds very much like what my little boy has had, sort of like runny peanut butter!

It lasted about a week, come to think of it, it may have been during teething but I couldnt be sure.
