Warts

My 4 yr old has five or six warts on her stomach. I have googled and read that they will most likely go away on their own eventually and that you can put nail varnish on them to stop them being spread. However nail varnish makes them itchy.
Is there a good technique to stop spreading or to make them disappear?

is it molluscum contagiosum? My 2 had it and it does go away on its own (eventually!). Have never heard of using nail varnish though.

I have come to the conclusion that nothing shifts warts until they are ready to go.

No miraculous MN cure then?

As a child I had numerous warts on my left hand. From the age of 7 years we tried every remedy under the sun, but nothing worked, they always came back. But at about the age of 14 or 15 they all just disappeared never to be seen again.

Sounds more like molluscum contagiosum to me - google it or look on nhs.choices for some photos to compare....btw, sounds a lot more scary than it isSmile

Have had a google and yes it does look like that- molluscum contagiosum. So it should go on it's own but I might try some tea tree cream on them as one is sore from being scratched.
Thanks all.
