DS has this temperature/lethargic thing going on - anyone else?

DS is 8 and rarely ill. Last weeekend he had D&V and a day of school, he picked up but never regained his appetite. In the week he has been very tired and asleep by 7.30pm each night.

He has also had a bit of a cold and a cough.

He woke this morning at 5.30am raging hot and saying his neck hurts. His glands feel slightly swollen, tonsills seem OK. He says he has a headache and just seems lethargic. He also has no appetite.

Is this just a bug going around or would you take him to the GP?

this sounds the same as my DS hes 4 in april he had same syptoms for bout 5 days went to out of hours docs saturday mornin they said its probably measles. He got what looks like a sweat rash on back, a bit on front behind ears and on scalp (he has lots of hair). his tongue is red with bumps on too (can get measles in the mouth). He still not to well and no appitite willgive it another 24 hrs befor i go to family gp, i had measles at same age and my mum said its not nice but i was fine and fought it off, but theres no medicine for measles. Hope this helps
