threadworms and bedwetting?

I have a 5 year old recent school starter who has started bedwetting again (dry for ages before that). I think he's had threadworms, have just dosed us all - I know bedwetting seems to be connnected but not sure how. Is it because it causes UTIs and if so do I need to get him separately treated for that? or will the ovex sort it all out?

maybe he is just extra tired and sleeping heavier and therefore not able to wake as easily when his bladder is full.

I don't think so as he was much tireder at start of term and he has never got up to wee at night, always goes through 7-7. oh well fingers crossed for tonight - had to change bed twice last night and am all out of sheets!

do you have those pads under sheet?

Would be interested to know if there is a link.

It's sorted! No itching and no more wetting last night. So I reckon there is defeinitely a link but it's an irritated bladder rather than UTI. Phew.
