12 yr old with upper left quadrant chest pain?

my ds 12 came home from school white as a sheet with chest pain ,he describes as ribs crushing his heart.i am very ????

dp thinks hes pulled a muscle and will be fine,but has taken him to dr.
has anyone got any ideas?

Pulled muscle very probable, but absolutely right to check it out. Hope he's ok and GP reassuring.

thanks for replies,in the absence of cough,temp ect doc thinks he has pulled a chest muscle.how i dont know.
rest and calpol.if it gets worse hes going straight to hospital as muscle pain is supposed to get better .

If it persists please take him back fo further investigations. Odd symptoms and particularly chest pain can be caused by something more sinister, such as lymphoma as my family have recently found out.
