ChickenPox?

Hi everyone,

I think my DD has got chicken pox, it started out on Friday, I noticed a couple of red spots, but didn't think anything of it, by this morning more spots have arrived and some of the origonal have blistered, and scabbed over. I'm guessing from what I can see that it is just chicken pox, but I'm hoping others might be able to confirm this for me.

As an aside, I've had chicken pox myself, but I do work with a pg woman, am I any risk to her, or anyone else who has not had it before?

Thanks

I found my DS had chicken pox on Saturday. I've another two children in the house who haven't had it yet and are exposed. Hopefully, we'll get it over for everyone in one go.

I think that if your DD doesn't come into contact with the woman at work there is no danger. I don't believe that you could be a risk to her. Furthermore I think the danger for pregnant women is only if they have not had chicken pox themselves but I may be wrong on this.

No you can't "carry" it , she'd need direct contact to catch it, assuming she has n't previously had it anyway.

Thanks very much - I had read various things on the internet and wasn't sure.

Note to self - MUST NOT GOOGLE MEDICAL STUFF
