Stinky burps??

My 12 month old has diarrhea. It has been going on for the last 24 hours. She's never had it before and as she has not been vomiting, I thought it might be teething related, however, as of five thirty this evening she has developed a temp which has taken max dose of calpol and ibuprofen to bring down from 38.4 to 37.4. To me this is still high.

She was crying and miserable until the meds kicked in and despite us struggling to get the temp down, she was playing with her football and running around.

The other symptom is that she is doing the stinkiest sulphurous belches! My DH and I haven't come across this before.

Again, no vomiting at all, just belches, poo and temp. Is this something that requires a trip to the GP? i was planning on keeping the fluids up and monitoring her but now the burps and temp make me wonder if I should be seeking medical advice.

Does anyone know what this is??

TIA

sounds like gastoenteritis??? not sure if thats how u spell it. She will start vomiting if she has it. We had it once and had rotten egg burps. I was so ill i lay in the bed with 2 kids. I pucked on baby who pucked on 3 yr old. They gave me anti sickness injection but couldnt give it to daughters. You can give ibrup n calpol and plenty of fluids or go to a walk in centre if your concerned. We had really high temp.

Ring the NHS 24 hour helpline, this is exactly the kind of thing they are there for. You are right about fluids.
