Not sure if this is the right place for this but noticed when DD(just turned 8) was in the bath tonight that she is developing little breast buds. Is this not very early? I was really shocked when I noticed and feel very uneasy about it now. Is this normal?

I think 7 or 8 is not uncommon these days. Breast bud development is the very first stage of puberty and it is a long process. They may be quite sore for her. My god daughter first developed breast buds at 7 but then they disappeared inside again only to reappear about a year later.

If you are worried, why not pop her to your GP?

It is on the early side of normal, but still normal. Have been having period conversations with my 8 yr old dd recently for that reason.
Sex Ed resources we use at school suggest puberty can start from about 8.
