DDs percentile dropped

DD is 4.10 and has just had a nurse check at school. She is now 25th percentile for both weight and height. The thing is, at 2.2 and before she was always on the 50th percentile for both. I am 5'10" so not small! DD is about5'11".

I've never been worried about her eating and she's clearly fit and healthy, but I am concerned at the big drop in percentile lines. Should I be looking at her diet? More protein or something?

IM (not expert) O, I wouldn't worry as they seem to grow in spurts. My ds1 is 5 and can go for ages without seeming to grow and then all of a sudden he eats a lot more, and I notice his trousers are a bit short! Unless she's really looking ill, I would just accept it!

I wouldn't worry about it really unless she suddenly goes to the 5th or something - like Merry and Pixie said, kiddies grow in phases anyway and at that age, a couple of cms or kgs make a massive difference to where they get dotted on the little chart!

I also think that they often don't find their true line untill after their toddler years anyway so maybe she will just be on 25th or thereabouts. If she's otherwise well and eating and active then leave her to it Wink
