17 month old DD had awful D&V for 4 days then started to eat slowly then by day 7 back to normal. Now day 10 after first started and we have a temp diorhhea off food again. GP says relapse?? Could this be the worst luck ever! Last week was hell. Please not again. So far no vomiting. Would a relapse be milder if this is it?
Your experience much appreciated.

Relapse, after 5-6 days. She looked for signs of infection, found none but asked for a stool and urine sample (that'll be fun!).

Have you tried phoning the GP?

Good luck, hope she's better soon. :)

most little ones have a bout of d&v now and again, and can have ongoing loose stools but not usually a full on episode with fever. The GP should look into it again exactly as loopy says to rule out urine infection or some kind of nasty bowel bug. She could of course be very unlucky and not fought it off fully the first time.
