Constant illness?

My 2DDS have had one illness after the other since December - DD2 missed her first Xmas as she was semi-conciouss on antibiotics. They both had bronchitis which took 3 weeks to clear over Xmas, then D and V, then a chest infection and now DD1 has another chest infection and DD2 has D and V. I am sick of ill children, cannot keep up with washing and am sick of being trapped indoors. Is there anything I can do to promote good health? They are both BF and on vitamins and generally eat a good diet tho with all the illness both have eaten very poorly recently and have lost weight.

I can sympathise.

I have been on here since 5.30 this morning whilst watching over DD who is poorly (again). She seems to get one thing recover then get blown down with something else. I can only say that once they get ill they are succeptable to other infections and it becomes a vicious circle.

Pro biotic powders help, as do rest early nights and as least time as possible out in this awful season.

I've Heard Sambucol is good though don't know what the evidence is. There's a kids version and boots sells it (some kind of berry extract)tastes nice but it is expensive about £8 a bottle.
