my 1 yr old ds has been having v&d since yesterday afternoon, having trouble keeping much food down at all and got a temperature. was thinking he's got a bug but remembered he had his mmr injections on tue and was told they can get a temperature afterwards and may become poorly and can be within up to 3 weeks of having it, so does it sound like this could be the case? or just a coincidence?
i never really heard of them having d&v afterwards, only temperature. and ds1 never used to get any effects from his injections at all.
did this happen to anyone else's baby after injections and how long did it last? thought he seemed to be getting better from this afternoon but he woke up just now to be sick and for his nappy changing again so doesn't seem to be over it quite yet :(

Not sure I can help really, my DD was really quite poorly after MMR, but no D&V - just temperature and obviously not happy. It took a couple of days to kick in though.

thanks for the reply, that's what i thought it mainly seems to be just temperatures so hard to know if its down to this or not

There was someone else a couple of days ago asking the same question- baby with fever and d&v few days after MMR.

I would think it's likely to be reaction to MMR- you can get 'mini measles'. Not sure about D&V, but DD had diarrhoea after some jabs Confused

I posted the same scenario last. Definetly amcoincidence as my five year old started d&v too. My little one took 1 weeks to recover. It was a was awful. No food for first 3 days then little and often thereafter. Fever day 2-3. MMR may have made her more vulnerable when exposed to D&v bug I think!?

i hope yours are fully better now, mine are starting to recover i think, but 2 yr old was v v bad in morning couldnt even keep water down. am starting to feel crap myself though :(
