Ds had grommets when he was 17m (now4) They have started to come out(one is stuck blocking his ear drum)After having no problems with his ears he stated having infections again,he last had one a few weeks ago. He had a low grade temp on and off yesterday and kept saying his ear was hurting.Today he has been really grumpy and took himself of to bed which is really unlike him. His ear is bright red and he is saying it hurts when you touch it. Would you take him to OOH to look at it or leave him with calpol.( He cant have nurofen because of his asthma)

I would take him asap, as ear infections can be very painful and if left untreated can cause permanent damage.
