Baby with cracked lips (with a cold) - wtd?

Is there anything I can safely put on my DS's chapped lips? He's 10.5mo, and has a (teething related) cold.
Is vaseline safe, or is there anything better?

I put lansinoh on my baby's chapped lips - figured if it's OK to use when BF with no need to wipe it off before feeding, it must be OK for her lips.
