Tonsillitis and phenoxymethyl

Ds has tonsilitis. Put on phenoxymethyl on weds. Does not seem any better. Is it too early for it to be working or should I go back to gp?

Sorry to hear Ds is poorly. I generally think that within around the 48 hours mark you should start to see an improvement and it's likely that this may happen over the next 12 hours or so - how long is the treatment course? I would definitely be checking things out again if no improvement in the next 12 hours or sooner if things went downhill in that time. Good luck xxx

Course is 7 days. Perked up a bit yesterday but q flushed and quiet today. V unlike him.
