3 year old ds says he can't wee

Posting on phone, sorry for brevity. He tried to wee 3 times at nursery but couldn't. Last known wee was 6:30this morning. Not in pain that I can see. Should I worry? Never happened before.

Try putting him in a warm bath to relax him. Do you think he could be afraid to go at nursery? He will probably wee at home when he needs to.

Thanks for replying. He did eventually wee, just before bathtime ... in his pants. Never have I been so glad to see a soaked pair of pants and trousers!
