Calcold / Calcough

Has anyone had any experience of using Calcold or Calcough? I saw them over the counter in the pharmacy and was just wondering if they actually work? I know most cold and cough medicines for kids don't work but seeing as these are made by Calpol I thought they might be good?

Also, I think they are both for age 6+. My DS is five and a half and big for his age. Do you think it would be ok to give him some?
He really suffers from horrible colds and coughs and I've found nothing that helps so far.

Thanks

Calcold is just the same as medised. Is the Calcough the chesty cough medicine? The Calcold may be useful if your ds's nose is blocked as the anti-histamine helps to relieve it. It can also make them drowsy.
