Sandy/Gritty poo

Just wiped my 2 month olds bum and found what looked to be fluff. Picked it up and it crumbled into tiny bits of sand. The whole thing was probably about 3mm big before it crumpled and is a dark brown colour.

His poop has been healthy looking until now. What is this stuff? Is it normal?

How is he fed?

Mammie81 · 27/01/2011 13:24

He was breast fed with an aptimil top up once a night, but up until last week we changed because he wasnt gaining enough weight.

Now every feed is breast milk followed by a formula top up. His weight is gaining wonderfully now.

Perhaps hes adjusting to the milk then? Does he ever refuse feeds or sick them up. Is he happy in himself ie any other symptoms?
