I know it's completely normal as she's trying to walk holding onto things. She is learning to walk brillantly but I'm so upset as not only did she manage to fall on her face 2 weeks ago and cut her skin between nose and lips. It wasn't healing properly as milk makes the cut infected... Finally it was managing to heal and this morning she fell AGAIN on her face while trying to stand up by herself. She has reopened her wound and then cup her lip and inside her lip as well....

I don't know what to do and she looks as if she has been in a boxing match and I just want her cut to heal so that she can have her lovely flawless skin back again..

Can I use any cream and how do I avoid it getting wet and infected from milk..?

Thanks from tired and upset mommy.

I have found that sudocream has really helped with these types of cuts (just a thin layer to stop possibilty of licking it off!).

Don't get upset, all babies have tumbles, its a right of passage!

I put bit of TCP cream...I hope that's okay. I will put sudocream today.

sure its ok, never use tcp myself as the smell reminds me of infant school and grazed knees!

Hope your feeling a bit better about it?

I hate cuts on the faces so I'm sure it's much much more aggravating for me than for my LO...:) She's smiling away and happy as ever so I just have to get over myself!!

My daughter was forever falling over and putting her teeth through her lip. Always seemed to happen when nursery photographer was due! Her legs were always bruised where she bashed them on her tricycle pedals. She's 12 now and her legs are now covered in scabs where she's had a go at shaving !!!! There's always something !!
