Any GPs around? Menorrhagia

What is the current advice/treatment for menorrhagia in a 12 year old? It is grim. Have managed to get an appointment but not for another 3 weeks.....(yes she is 12 Sad)

What can I expect?/Ask?

Have to go out now, but will check back later.

Any advice much appreciated. TIA.

Thanks pixie. I opted for the 3 week one because it was the only female doctor one available that I could accompany her to. I know it shouldn't make a difference, but she would be mortified to see a male GP. (Neither would I send her with her dad on this occasion).

She is pale and tired, but I am going out in a minute to look for a suitable iron supplement

She eats a very good diet fortunately.
