Is she taking much fluid? how bad is the dioreha and can you tell if she is weeing normally?

slinkypinky · 15/01/2011 22:05

Might be worth a call to NHS direct? They will prob tell you to go to A&E though. I would be concerned that she has the signs of dehydration and this could escalate quickly in a baby that age.

The more I think about it, the more I think you should call them actually.

Hope all well, let us know.

Sounds like she could be getting dehydrated.. I would phone OOH/NHS24/direct for advice

some info here; advises to "take your child (any age) to your GP if:

  • Vomiting and diarrhoea last longer than 24 hours.
  • You notice signs of dehydration, such as a sunken fontanelle (the soft bit on top of their head), the face and eyes look sunken or they aren?t producing wet nappies."

Poor DD Sad
Glad you got some medical attention though, they seem to be taking it seriously.
Fingers crossed for a quick recovery.

did they not suggest diarolyte rather than water?
