DS 3 with smelly bum

Was hoping to find an old thread about this, but no.
DS is 3.3. For a while now, I have noticed that his bum smells.
It's not poo, more like a stale sweaty smell, a bit cheesy if you like!
He is fully potty trained, no rash, his bum is clean, always cleaned thoroughly, he baths regularly.

any ideas? it's not causing any problems for him, just not smelling very nice.
Feel a bit silly going to the docs!

Maybe he just sweats a bit more than average down there... how about a bit of talc to keep it dry? How is his diet?

It doesn't seem too sweaty. His diet is fine, eats fruit and veg. Quite regular. Dunno just a bit strange .

No checked all that, and his willy, all clean. I'm sure it's his bum.

Well even if it doesn't seem sweaty - it's the dried on sweat that causes a smell so maybe have a go with the talc anyway and see what happens? Maybe try putting some tea tree oil (just a drop or two) in his bath?
