what is wrong with dd? anyone recognise these symptoms

dd had temp, sore throat and headache, wed night, symptoms lessened through out thursday and developed a raised looking rash tinny pimples but under suraface of skin, as it is smooth but dry to touch. this started on face and traveled down neck and chest and slightly on back.

face has really flared up, its very red patchy and could be slightly swollen. she has very big ulcers on tongue and some very sore broken parts far back on tongue.

tem has risen again today and complaining of sore throat today. she is very perky though. I was planning to send her back to school monday but her face looks dreadfull so dont think I should. i will take her to drs monday but just wanted anyone to have a go at a diagnosis

it thought it maybe, but pharacist didnt think so. looks better today so will see how it is in the morning and taker her to drs anyway.

Scarlet fever

If her tongue looks like a strawberry, then Scarlet Fever. The next stage, her tongue will develop a "white fluff", and if the doc does not get to see her tongue while it still has red ulcers, scarlet fever may not be so easy to diagnose. Only penicillin v works with it.

It could also be a rash associated with a viral infection, dd1 had this a few weeks ago.

either one im thinking, dr thought she had scarlet fever last year, apparently it does not clear up on its own so he left her a week to see and it did, a virus diagnosed that time. her symptoms are similar but less rash this time the rash was all over her body last year.

Sounds very very similar to hand foot and mouth.
