Concerned about DD's belly shape - is this a lump or normal?

DD is 2.7. She has what I think is a normal toddler's pot belly. However last night DH and I noticed that it is not symmetrical - it protrudes slightly more to the right of her belly button. We checked again this morning (before she had eaten) and could still see that it was not even.

DD is happy and well, with a good apetite. Is it normal for a toddler's belly to stick out slightly more on one side than the other?

Should we take her to the gp?

Probably fine, but I wondered about hernias?? You couuld check with GP at some point, or even HV, but I wouuldn't worry too much Smile

Thank you. I do feel like an idiot if I go to the gp and she says it is nothing.

Ah, I think thats just one of the many unavoidable initiation rites of parenthood Wink

Always worth checking things, and good GPs will always agree!
